When Jesse W. COLE was born on February 28, 1805, in Vermont, his father, Gideon Cole, was 26 and his mother, Mercy Williams, was 28. He married Mary Cornelia KING on January 13, 1825, in New York. Jesse died on November 14, 1854, in Montcalm, Michigan, at the age of 49, and was buried at Forest Home Cemetery in Greenville, Montcalm, Michigan.

Mary Cornelia King was born on May 4, 1807, in Lafayette, New York. Her father, Asahel King, was 25, and her mother, Polly Hoyt, was 22. After the death of Jesse, she remarried to Samuel Wilbur about 1860. Mary died on August 20, 1867, in Rives Junction, Jackson, Michigan, at the age of 60 and is buried in an unknown grave.

They had ten children together during their marriage - Leander T., Asahel King, Lucinda K., Calista A., Louisa D., George W., Douglas, Samantha Evelyn, Arvilla, and Eugene M.
